Grade 8 and 9 Student Requirements
Information

Soccer Referee Grades do not refer to school grades.  Instead they refer to the Referee’s Level.

All youth begin as Grade 8 referees.

Adults may be Grade 9 or Grade 8 referees.

GRADE 8:

Youths (14 and older) may ONLY attend the Grade 8 course.

Youth must be 14 years old in order to attend this course.  An exception can be made for 13 year old youths if they will turn 14 by the end of the calendar year in which they take the course.

GRADE 9:

Due to the fast pace of the course, only adults (18 years and above) may take this course.

All students receive a copy of the current year “Laws of the Game” book.

Note: SRS pays for the cost of the instructor, the books, and the room.

Students are responsible for the cost of their USSF registration.

For 2012, the registration fee is $40.

At the start of the course, each student must provide a check made out to CNRA for the amount of the registration fee. These checks will be taken by the instructor at the beginning of the course to cover your registration fee. Only students passing the exam pay the registration fee. Checks will be returned for any student who does not pass the exam.

CNRA is California North Referee Administration - the official USSF body for Referees in Northern California.
