The SRS Speed, Power and Agility program 2010: The primary goals of the strength and conditioning program are to minimize injuries, optimize soccer performance and increase overall team success. Exercises need to be done on a continual basis. SRS will provide a SPA training program this season for those athletes who wish to learn techniques and exercises tat will help them deal with the demands of COMP level soccer

SRS provides support to volunteer coaches by sponsoring free training, coaching curriculum handouts, and free coaching clinics beginning throught out the Summber. Additional training is available through CYSA and NSCAA coaching courses. The exclusive SRS Rec Instructor Program is unique in that it provides training for coaches from U7-U10 teams. Details are available at the annual Coaches Meeting held in July prior to the start of the training season in August.

The San Ramon Courage U-12 girls team took 1st place in the FYSL Hugh Kinnear/Celtic TournamentSeptember 26-27th. It was over 100 degrees and was a complete team effort. Courage never lost with 2 wins and a tie going into the championship game. They dominated play and at the end withstood Central Marin's late attack to win the final 1-0. The team is excited to continue their development and success. Congratulations to all of the players.

| San Ramon Rangers U12 Boys 2nd Place Finish |
The U12 San Ramon Rangers had a great showing at the San Luis Obispo North vs South tournament August 15th & 16th. The Rangers won 3 games to advance to the finals on Sunday, allowing only 1 goal in bracket and semi-final play. They faced FC Bullard in the final match-up. After a hard fought battle, Bullard won the match 1-0, scoring on a free kick opportunity in the first half. The Rangers never gave up and came away with a 2nd place finish against fine competition.

The last week of pool training will be Oct 12 and Oct 14 - 4 to 5:30 5:30 to 7:00
same age groups as before.

COMP level (Div 1 / 3 teams) practice begins the week of July 6, twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each team has an assigned coach who is in charge.
Pool Training begins July 27 for U9, U10, U11, U12 for 11 weeks. Brian Rinna and Lisa Ward is in charge.
COMP level goal keeping training : Nate Failing is in charge.
REC Plus Goal Keeping Training : Ilia Petrov is in charge.
REC Plus team training is being scheduled directly between trainer and coach (8 sessions, 2 hours each).

Rosie Tantillo, woman professional player from FC Gold Pride paid a surprised visit for the U10 to U13 girls who have been attended Spring Training Thursday 6/3/10.

| Azuri Girls 95 Quest for U.S. Club National Championship Invitation |
The San Ramon Azuri Girls 95 team coached by Brian Rouillard, Nate Failing and Brian Rinna are currrently competing in the Nor Cal Premier Spring League. The are currently 4-0 with 13 goals for and only 3 against. They lead the league in points and goals and look to continue their achievements this weekend with both games at Tiffany Roberts Park in San Ramon. With wins this weekend the team will qualify for the US Club National Championship tournament in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the end of July. They encourge you to come out to watch and support the team as they work to reach such a lofty accomplishment as an invitation to the US Club National Championships. The schedule is:

| Azuri 2000 Girls Success |
AZURI 2000 Girls spring training a success:
Spring Training began in March 2010 for the AZURI 2000 girls after they placed second in December 2009 at the Juventus Tourrnament. Training continued with the theme of “Ball Movement in games”. Decision making, Vision, Combination Passes, Switching point of attack, player rotation were among the topics emphasized during training. It was a success. The team made a recognizable leap in their understanding of the game. Although the game results were not emphasized, AZURI 2000 is at the top of the group with a record of 8-1-1 with 39 goals for and 9 goals against. It has been a fun Spring season.

| ANOTHER HIGHLY QUALIFIED COACH JOINS SRS |
SRS is please to announce the hiring of Carlos Menjivar to join our Professional Staff.
Carlos is one of those rare individuals who had the talent and ability to join the professional playing ranks at age 16 and played on the El Salvador National Team. He has a long and colorful history with Soccer. He was a National Staff Instructor for the United States Soccer federation and has conducted numerous coaching courses across the country. He was also the National Staff Coach for Region IV and Region II, 1998-2002 and was responsible for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and coaching education for Region II and Region IV. He was also a World Cup 1998 Scout for United States Soccer Federation (National Teams) and an instructor for the NSCAA.

| San Ramon Blitz Finish Season as Founders Cup Finalist |
The San Ramon Blitz u-19 boys team finished off their season as finalist at the CYSA Founders Cup. The Blitz defeated the Mustang Earthquakes 5-0 in the quarter finals and beat the Livermore Celtic 3-0 in the semi finals. The Blitz lost the final to Sacramento 1-0 in a hard fought game played in a driving rain storm.

Starting their season almost a year ago playing Norcal Spring League, the Division 1, U11B San Ramon Rangers have had an incredible season. With a strong finish in regular league play, they continued on through State Cup prelims, making it to the finals. In the final match against Sacramento United, the Rangers took the lead early and held on for a 4-0 win to become U11 State Cup Champions.
