Join the SAN RAMON SOCCER CLUB for a chance to play and learn the game of Futsal, 5v5 indoor court soccer. The fundamental difference between Futsal and traditional indoor soccer is that there are no walls which demands the game to be played with more cooperation and insight while still offering all the fast pace play and action in front of goal!
Futsal, quickly and effectively develops the skills required for soccer: balance, motor ability, agility, ball mastery, creative and precise rapid passing, insight and awareness through repetition and playing in tight space.
FIFA (world governing body of soccer) has made a commitment to promote and structure the sport of futsal globally, by means of competitions, courses and other proactive measures, and to encourage its members to do the same”.
Winter Futsal Curriculum:
- Laws of the game, using rules to get an advantage, quick re-starts.
- Emphasis on Technical and Physical development through Repetition. Forming a friendship with the ball, self expression.
- Introduction to Small Group Tactics 1v1 to 4v4, Attack, Defense and Transition.
- Love of the Game, risk taking and sportsmanship.
What to Bring:
- Indoor soccer shoes (flat non-marking sole) and Shin Guards.
- Ball (a futsal ball is heavier than a normal ball and I will have several of them, all players need to bring a soccer ball or futsal ball)
- Azuri training wear.
Cost: FREE- Participation is limited to 12 players per session.
Training Dates:
Sundays 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5
4-5pm U9/U10 girls and boys
5-6pm U11/U12 girls and boys
6-7pm U11/U12 girls and boys
