The Rec Program is Ready to Kick Off!

Rosters are being finalized as we prepare for the fall season.  You will be notified by your assigned coach after they recieve their rosters at the coaches meetings.  Because of the summer season, please allow coaches to contact their teams.

The SRS Speed, Power and Agility program 2010:  The primary goals of the strength and conditioning program are to  minimize injuries, optimize soccer performance and increase overall team success.  Exercises need to be done on a continual basis.  SRS will provide a SPA training program this season for those athletes who wish to learn techniques and exercises tat will help them deal with the demands of COMP level soccer

Coaches Training 2010 USYSA/CYSA F license course offered in August in San Ramon Limited enrollement...Sign up
SRS provides support to volunteer coaches by sponsoring free training, coaching curriculum handouts, and free coaching clinics beginning throught out the Summber. Additional training is available through CYSA and NSCAA coaching courses. The exclusive SRS Rec Instructor Program is unique in that it provides training for coaches from U7-U10 teams. Details are available at the annual Coaches Meeting held in July prior to the start of the training season in August.

Learn the Eight Steps for Learning and Ten Steps of Teaching. Also, How to Organize your Practice using Themed Curriculum. 
Instructor: Fred Hsu USSF A licensed, DoC
When: 9 hours Friday 6-9pm and Saturday 9am-3pm. 
Location: San Ramon Soccer office and Central Park
Objectives: To give you an understanding of your players, youth sports psychology; To give you a teaching/coaching framework - methods of teaching/coaching techniques - methods of teaching/coaching tactics; To give you a chance to question yourself about what you already know about teaching soccer; To allow you to experience the thrills of learning 'how to' coach new skills.

The San Ramon Shock U18 Girls advanced last weekend to next week's State Cup Final. In their final year as team, the Shock have a chance to become State Cup Champions, ending their club soccer careers in a most fitting way.
