San Ramon Soccer Club Welcomes New Club Director
SRS would like to announce the hiring of Ivan Kepcija as our Club Director. Ivan, a native of Croatia, comes to SRS from Walnut Creek Soccer Club where he has been coaching for the past 4 years and is excited to start working towards the betterment of the San Ramon Soccer Club. Ivan has also been involved in coaching Holy Names University men’s soccer team, where he also played during his collegiate career. Currently, he holds the position of Associate Head Men’s Soccer Coach at the institution and is the director for region III-IV in Norcal’s Player Development Program.

SRS Presents Free Winter Futsal Program
Join the SAN RAMON SOCCER CLUB for a chance to play and learn the game of Futsal, 5v5 indoor court soccer. The fundamental difference between Futsal and traditional indoor soccer is that there are no walls which demands the game to be played with more cooperation and insight while still offering all the fast pace play and action in front of goal!

AZURI 01 Girls Advance to NorCal Finals
On Sunday, January 22nd , the AZURI 01 Girls faced a very tough Mustang Blast in the NorCal Semi-final game. The AZURI girls scored first by deflecting in a corner kick. At half, it was tied 1-1. They stayed on the attack the second half and ended regulation with a 2-2 tie.

San Ramon AZURI 99 Girls Win Palo Alto Winter Tournament
On January 7-8th, San Ramon Azuri 99 (U13 Girls) won the Palo Alto Winter Turf tournament. After winning the first three games of the tournament, Azuri 99 faced a very tough San Francisco Vikings Athena team in the finals on Sunday evening.

AZURI ’98B Bronze place 3rd in difficult Juventus Tournament
Over the December 10th and 11th weekend the Azuri ’98 Bronze team competed in the very competitive Juventus Coppa d Oro tournament in Redwood City. The team won a back and forth game against Sonoma Alliance by a score of 1-0. In the second game the boys earned a draw with Belmont United 1-1. In the final group play game played Sunday the boys played a strong PAC Newells team; who won their previous two matches. This was a difficult match for the Azuri that ended with a 2-1 loss. Ending group play with a 1-1-1 record was enough to put us into the Consolation match against Castro Valley.
